(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of February 12, upon hearing the complaint from the village chief of Tan Thinh village, An Hoa commune, Quynh Luu district about the degraded traffic and bridge system, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh directly went to inspect and direct the handling.

At the meeting between the provincial delegation and the Party Committee, government and people of An Hoa commune, Quynh Luu district, Mr. Pham Ngoc Lap, head of Tan Thinh village, An Hoa commune, Quynh Luu district, reflected that this village is far from the commune center, the people's lives mainly depend on salt making but the traffic conditions are still difficult. Therefore, Mr. Lap suggested that the provincial leaders pay attention to helping the village build a rural road from the center of An Hoa commune to the village, including the degraded Tan Thinh bridge.

Previously, at the working session at the An Hoa commune headquarters, reporting to the working delegation of the Provincial Party Secretary, An Hoa commune Party Secretary Ho Anh Dung said that the locality has more than 10,800 people with 2,560 households living in 14 villages, of which 13% are Catholics. The commune Party Committee has 17 Party cells with 330 Party members.

40% of An Hoa's population is engaged in agriculture, 45% in salt production, and also in fishing and services. In particular, the lives of people working in agriculture and salt production are still difficult due to the lack of reliable irrigation water and low salt prices.

At the meeting, the Party Secretary of An Hoa commune proposed that the province support cement funding for rural traffic; up to this point, people have been relatively enthusiastic about investing in public works, buying sand and gravel; surveying and upgrading the salinity prevention dyke and three-door sluice to serve agricultural production and people's lives due to degradation; investing in building classrooms for the Primary School and Secondary School.

The opinions of the secretaries and hamlet chiefs attending the meeting to make recommendations to the Provincial Party Secretary and the provincial working delegation also agreed with the above recommendations of the commune leaders. Minh Tien hamlet Party cell secretary Dau Cao Nga suggested that the province and district create conditions and have plans to help the commune develop its economy in small and medium industries and economic models.

The head of Tan An hamlet, Mr. Duong Ha Nam, proposed to help the village build a cultural house in another location. The Party Secretary of Toan Loi hamlet, Nguyen Dinh Tap, proposed to have a clean water plant to supply the people. "On average, people have to spend 300,000 VND per month to buy water," said Mr. Tap.

After listening to the responses of the leaders of An Hoa commune and Quynh Luu district, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Xuan Dai expressed his excitement at the new developments of An Hoa.

Sharing the difficulties of the locality in economic development and security and order, comrade Le Xuan Dai hopes that in the coming time, the local Party committee and government will grasp the situation more firmly, be closer to the people; do a good job of government mass mobilization work, and mobilize the strength of the political system to overcome difficulties.

Regarding the recommendations, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Chairman of the Quynh Luu District People's Committee to work with the commune to grasp specific issues, determine investment needs and investment resources to propose the province to handle them promptly.

Concluding the meeting, the Provincial Party Secretary assessed that the political system and people of An Hoa commune have made many efforts.

However, the Provincial Party Secretary frankly emphasized that the province "is not really assured about the situation in An Hoa commune", when the commune has a complete political system but there are still very regrettable incidents regarding security and order.

From that reality, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh suggested that the Party Secretaries and Chairmen of the Commune People's Committees need to closely follow the grassroots; each Party member should be aware of and grasp the situation so that people can trust and support. "Common issues should be discussed, discussed, and explained; no issues should be avoided," the Provincial Party Secretary pointed out.

The Provincial Party Secretary also emphasized that in Party activities, it is necessary to mention more policies and guidelines of the Party, State and province such as the issue of handling marine environmental pollution incidents in the Central provinces so that cadres, party members and the masses can grasp and strive to build and develop the economy.

Regarding the commune’s recommendations, the Provincial Party Secretary stated that, to date, the commune has achieved 15 criteria in building new rural areas and aims to reach the finish line by 2018. Therefore, the province will conduct specific research to further support the locality with cement for road construction.

As for major projects such as saltwater intrusion prevention dykes, three-door sluices, and school construction, the province and district will study and respond specifically to the locality; regarding the issue of domestic water, the Provincial Party Secretary also noted and studied specifically.

In particular, when it comes to local economic development, Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh suggested that in the long term, salt making should be converted because the actual production efficiency is not high; regarding the issue of borrowing capital to build ships for the Tan An hamlet chief, the Provincial Party Secretary said that he would discuss with banks to support the people. At the same time, the Secretary also suggested that the locality should mobilize outstanding people, both Catholics and non-Catholics, to join the Party ranks to participate in leadership and local development.

At the end of the meeting, the Provincial Party Secretary respectfully thanked the efforts and struggles of the grassroots cadres and party members of An Hoa commune and hoped that they would continue to promote their pioneering and exemplary roles, encouraging people to maintain solidarity, good production, and maintain security and order in the area.
