Nghe An residents and students experience fire prevention and fighting practice
(Baonghean.vn) - Fire prevention, firefighting and rescue police officers of Nghe An Provincial Police demonstrated fire prevention and firefighting skills. People and students learned and experienced practical knowledge and skills.
On the morning of December 16, Nghe An Provincial Police organized a program to propagate, experience, practice fire fighting and rescue in Nghe An province. Attending were representatives of Nghe An Provincial Police, departments, branches, leaders of Vinh city, wards, communes, and schools in the area.

The program aims to propagate and guide the masses about knowledge, laws and measures to ensure fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue, focusing on instructing skills to handle fire and explosion situations and escape skills when a fire occurs in family homes, apartment buildings, crowded places...
In addition, the forces also introduced firefighting and rescue equipment and vehicles of the Fire Prevention and Firefighting Police Force, including: modern fire trucks with outstanding features; rescue vehicles with many tools and vehicles for rescue and rescue; firefighting and rescue ladder trucks... and some other single tools and vehicles such as: hand-held cutters, mobile cranes, foam nozzles, tripod pulleys, rope climbers; introduced the model of Inter-family Fire Prevention and Firefighting Safety Team, and the model of Public Firefighting Station.
Speaking at the program, Colonel Nguyen Duy Thanh - Deputy Director of Nghe An Provincial Police emphasized that in recent times, socio-economic development has led to potential high risks of fire and explosion. Promoting propaganda, fire fighting and rescue practices is extremely important to raise awareness and skills in handling fire, explosion and accident situations as soon as they arise, minimizing damage to people and property. Thereby, contributing to building a movement for the whole population to participate in fire prevention and fighting in the province according to the 4 on-site motto.

At the program, students and many people experienced and practiced basic firefighting and rescue skills such as experiencing escape using a ladder truck; rescuing people, moving to escape in a smoky environment; using a portable fire extinguisher to extinguish a fire caused by a gas leak; moving people with bare hands; spreading fire hoses; spraying water to target; escaping in a confined space. Fire police officers also demonstrated techniques of using rescue ropes, climbing ropes without support tools; escaping using rope climbing machines...
