This road passes through the villages of Thống Nhất, Nà Đười, Kẻ Nóc, Kẻ Sùng, Kẻ Trắng, and Kẻ Mẻ, affecting 243 households.

In November 2011, the People's Committee of Con Cuong district held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a road connecting Mau Duc commune to Thach Ngan commune, with a total investment of over 52.6 billion VND. The road is over 10km long and has a mountainous road structure of class VI; the construction time is 24 months.

However, only 15 billion VND was allocated from 2011 to 2017; mainly for construction along the route, with 2 km completed within Thach Ngan commune. The provincial budget and the district People's Committee have also not yet balanced the funds to carry out compensation, land clearance, and resettlement work.

By 2017, the Party Committee and the government of Mau Duc commune advised Con Cuong district to solicit public opinion on the implementation of land clearance for the Mau Duc to Thach Ngan commune road project, following the principle of "the State and the people working together"; this was linked to the implementation of the National Target Program on building new rural areas.

Based on that, the commune mobilized the people to donate land, trees, and assets attached to the land, as well as permanent construction works along the Mau Duc to Thach Ngan road section passing through Mau Duc commune.

Mr. Lang Van Sy, Deputy Secretary of the Mau Duc Commune Party Committee, said: "Although compensation and support for land clearance had been set beforehand, after persuasion, all affected households unanimously agreed and showed strong support. The total area of land donated by the people is 23,265 square meters."2; 1,368 trees of various types; 142 m2 corrugated iron roof and over 1,361m2 Various types of fences... with a total value of over 1 billion VND. In 2017, the People's Committee of the commune and the people handed over the land to the People's Committee of the district and the investor.
