In 2008, with the approval of the government, he and his family pooled all their savings and borrowed from friends to invest nearly 2 billion VND in the deserted Dam Boc area of Nam Chau hamlet (Cong Thanh - Yen Thanh). Up to now, the model has been operating stably with an annual income of 300 million VND from raising pigs, laying pigs, chickens, fish, frogs, ducks, etc.
On an area of nearly 6 hectares, Mr. Doai planned more than 2 hectares to build a livestock barn system. As for the swamp area, he boldly hired an excavator to dig the soil and build dykes to create 3 fish ponds. Although he experienced many losses due to falling prices, diseases and lack of experience, with perseverance and determination, he researched more documents, attended training courses, and learned more about effective livestock models to apply to his farm.
From the end of 2016 until now, although the price of live pigs has dropped, he still maintains importing them for traders. In addition, he has boldly raised wild pigs - a very popular commodity in the market today. Mr. Doai shared: "The price of live pigs has dropped, causing considerable damage to the family, however, I continue to maintain the breeding herd, then raise wild pigs. This time, I have bred 40 pigs, including sows and pigs for meat. Raising wild pigs has ready-made food, vegetables, tubers, and fruits, and the prices are good, so it is very promising...".
