Single mother and disabled son ask to donate organs
(Baonghean.vn) – That is mother and son Nguyen Thi Lam and brother Tran Van Ha (residing in Quy Hop Town). The mother and son have just fulfilled their wish to register to donate organs after death at Hanoi Medical University Hospital.
Speaking of Nguyen Thi Lam and her son, few people in Quy Hop town do not know. Lam is a single mother raising a disabled son, Tran Van Ha, born in 1990. Every day, Lam sells coal to make a living.
Her son, Tran Van Ha, unfortunately suffered from brittle bone disease since he was a child, so Ms. Lam had a hard time even though she and her son received support and encouragement from neighbors and local authorities every day. However, overcoming her own desires, Ms. Lam had a thought and action that few people can do: she wanted to donate her organs after death.

Ms. Lam confided that, in the past, when she was very young, she wanted to become a doctor to cure and save people, but due to life's circumstances, that dream could not be realized and it was always in her heart. Later, when she gave birth to Ha, who unfortunately suffered from an incurable disease, she prayed day and night that everyone in this world would no longer have to worry about illness.
So, in early 2017, the mother and son decided to fulfill their wish, went to the capital, went to Hanoi Medical University Hospital to write a petition to donate their entire body to the country's medicine after death. As for Tran Van Ha - the disabled boy who told this story: At first, when I heard my mother say she wanted to donate her organs, I strongly objected because I felt sorry for her who had worked hard all her life, but after carefully researching information on the internet about organ donation as well as the meaning of this noble act, I and my mother realized that dream.
