Americans are more concerned about student debt than they are about North Korea, according to a new survey.

CNBC news agency cited the results of a survey by Millennial Personal Finance showing that more than 56% of Americans think that compared to the threat from North Korea, student debt is much more serious. This result is based on the survey of 1,000 Americans aged 18 and older, conducted in September.

Clearly, student debt is on the rise in the United States. More than 44 million people have taken out loans to pay for their education, and their total debt has reached $1.4 trillion. For people in their 20s, the average debt is $22,135. For people in their 30s, it is $34,033.

On October 10, the Interfax news agency reported that the North Korean leader announced that the country has a 3,000km range missile that will be able to reach the US territory after modernization. The country is also said to be about to conduct another missile launch within the next 10 days to celebrate two key political events.
