Aliens look more like fish than humans
Scientists believe that most of the worlds that harbor extraterrestrial life are completely covered by water, meaning the creatures that live there are more likely to be fish-like than human-like.

Fergus Simpson, an expert at the Cosmos Science Institute at the University of Barcelona, Spain, used a complex form of mathematics called Bayesian probability to predict the likelihood of life existing outside Earth. The results showed that the surface of habitable planets in the universe contains more than 90% water, according to Sun.
Hypotheses about the shape of aliens
This means that if life forms exist in the universe, they are likely to be fish-like or similar to creatures that live in the oceans on Earth. However, it is very unlikely that they will have advanced civilizations like humans.
"If you're talking about intelligent beings that could build spacecraft, I think they would be like humans. I'm skeptical that there are many intelligent alien species living underwater. The reason is that aquatic creatures, like dolphins on Earth, have a harder time using tools or making fire," Simpson said.
The Earth's surface is mostly covered by water, with only about 29% of it being land. Simpson suggests that the large difference between water and land may be related to the evolution of life on Earth.
"Our understanding of the evolution of life is far from complete. Every planet with life does not necessarily have an equal chance of harboring intelligent life forms," Simpson said.
