Family members of a patient assaulted a doctor at Vinh City Hospital.

(Baonghean.vn)-At 11:40 PM on January 20th, at Vinh City Hospital, several individuals, who were relatives of patient Nguyen Manh Hung (30 years old, residing in Thanh Hoa), assaulted the doctors on duty after bringing the patient to the hospital.

Reportedly, after examination revealed the patient had consumed a large amount of alcohol and was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury, the on-duty team performed a CT scan. However, the scan showed no signs of injury, so the patient was transferred to the surgical department. The family was also informed that the patient's condition was still uncertain and required monitoring. Immediately, the patient's family attacked the doctors, forcing them to flee and causing chaos in the surgical department.

The incident only stopped when the 113 police and the Hong Son ward police arrived. Patient Hung was then transferred by the hospital to the provincial general hospital for treatment.

Currently, the incident is being further investigated by the police.
