On the evening of January 7, Mr. Vo Quoc Hung, Vice Chairman of Ben Nghe Ward People's Committee (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), said that the above incident occurred at 10:00 p.m. on January 6, when the urban order force coordinated with Ben Nghe Ward Police (District 1) to inspect and discovered a young man dressed as "Spider-Man" selling goods on Nguyen Hue walking street, so they made a record to handle it.

Accordingly, "Spider-Man" was issued two administrative fines for failing to present identification papers and street vending, and was fined 350,000 VND.

“Previously, we have also handled a number of similar cases, dressing up as Monkey King, Teddy Bear and selling goods on the street, even begging for money on the walking street. During holidays and Tet, there have also been similar cases of people dressing up, but mixing in to pickpocket, snatching phones from people and tourists, causing disorder,” said Mr. Hung.
