(Baonghean.vn) - This afternoon (July 14), the family of the unfortunate victim who died naked in the stream of Na Puc village, Chau Thon commune, Que Phong district, came to claim the body of their loved one.

"Unclothed body found in stream bed"

Previously, as reported by Nghe An Newspaper, fishermen in Na Puc village discovered a decomposing body in the stream. The body was identified as female and was found naked.

Mr. Vi Văn Chín, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nậm Nhoóng commune, confirmed that the unfortunate woman who died in the stream beside National Highway 16, in the section flowing through Na Pục village, Châu Thông commune (Quế Phong district), was a citizen of the commune. The victim's name was Hà Thị Miên, born in 1965, residing in Huồi Cam village, Nậm Nhoóng commune, and the wife of Mr. Vi Văn Thắng.

According to investigations, the victim went to work in the fields on the afternoon of July 12, 2017, and did not return home. That same afternoon, there was heavy and prolonged rain in the area, causing dangerously high water levels in rivers and streams. The cause of death was determined to be that the victim was swept away by the flood while crossing a stream on their way home.

It is known that the victim's family circumstances are very dire; her husband, Vi Van Thang, has terminal stomach cancer. The family has five children and belongs to the poor household category in the commune.

Currently, the police have completed the procedures and handed over the victim's body to the family for burial.
