On the afternoon of January 14, Mr. Hoa Van Giao - Head of Bac Ly Commune Police said that the above incident was discovered by relatives in Keo Pha Tu village, Bac Ly commune, Ky Son district, Nghe An at around 6:00 p.m. on January 13 in a forest area about 2km from the house.

Accordingly, at the above time, the family did not see Ms. Moong Me Th. (born in 1976, residing in Keo Pha Tu village, Bac Ly commune) return home, so they organized a search throughout the village. When everyone entered the above forest area, they unexpectedly saw Ms. Th. on her way home in an abnormal condition, walking unsteadily.

Immediately after that, Ms. Th. was taken home when her mouth was stiff. At this time, when people pried open Ms. Th.'s mouth, they found it full ofpoison ivyAfter more than 30 minutes of traditional first aid, Ms. Th. did not survive and died.

"After receiving the information, the Commune Police Department met with the family to clarify the cause, but the victim did not request an autopsy. We have made a written commitment with the family. Currently, the family and relatives have arranged the burial procedures for Ms. Th, according to local customs," said Mr. Hoa Van Giao.

It is known that Ms. Th. is married and has 4 children. Her husband was a former police officer in Keo Pha Tu village. This is not an uncommon case because in the past few years in Keo Pha Tu village, more than 10 people have committed suicide by eating poison ivy.
