'Iron Man' Robert Downey Jr. stars in film produced by Kim Ly

According toDeadline, actorRobert Downey Jr. officially returned to the screen with a role inThe Sympathizer (The Sympathizer)- TV project adapted from the novel by Vietnamese writer - Nguyen Thanh Viet. The film is produced byKim Lyco-production with international producers and HBO.

Kim Ly is delighted that Robert Downey Jr. accepted the project that he and leading filmmakers co-produced.

Kim Ly has been nurturing the project for 4 yearssince thenSaigon Bodyguard. He sympathized with the novel's author and decided to buy the copyright to produce the film. "After more than 7 years of living and working in Vietnam, I have learned a lot more about my fatherland. I want to introduce the colorful culture and glorious history of my country to the world. The participation ofRobert Downey Jr. is also a dream come true for us," Kim Ly shared.

The project also marks the return of "Iron Man" Robert Downey Jr. after a period of absence.
