(Baonghean.vn) - The Chairman of the People's Committee of Tien Thuy Commune (Quynh Luu) sympathized with the victims' families and said that the owner of the Pacific 01 ship is hiring more professional divers from Ho Chi Minh City to Hai Phong to search for the 9 missing fishermen.

Many days have passed, the whereabouts of 9 missing crew members at sea have not been found, making the victims' families extremely worried and in pain. They cannot bear it when time passes without results in the search and rescue of the crew members. On the morning of July 1, the victims' families in the sunken ship incident, through the People's Committee of Tien Thuy commune, requested the authorities to take drastic measures to search for the missing crew members.

Relatives of the crew members also demanded responsibility from the owner of the cargo ship Pacific 01. Because before that, the leaders of the International Transport and Trade Joint Stock Company (headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City), the owner of the cargo ship Pacific 01, signed a commitment with the people and local authorities to start deploying divers to work from 4:00 a.m. on July 1. However, information from survivors of the shipwreck reported to the relatives of the fishermen: until the morning of July 1, divers had not yet arrived at the scene as promised.

Mr. Nguyen Van Cong - a relative of missing crew member Nguyen Tuan Phong said: "It has been nearly 4 days, at the scene there is only a rescue ship of the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center (Vietnam MRCC) and a number of fishing boats of fishermen circling around the scene. According to the commitment signed between the people and the owner of the Pacific ship, divers will be sent to search this morning (July 1), however, we received information from the surviving crew members that there are no divers present at the scene yet."

“Not having found our loved ones, I, like many families of missing crew members, feel like we are sitting on a bed of fire, our hearts are broken, and we cannot live in peace. Every day we wait for the search results, even though there is only a glimmer of hope, we still pray for their safety,” Mr. Hung said.
