Ms. Luong Thi Xuan, residing in Phong village, Thach Giam town, Tuong Duong said: "Last year as well as this year, my family grew tomatoes on an area of about 400m22. Last year, during Tet, the selling price was 40,000 VND/kg, after Tet, it was 25,000 VND/kg. Compared to last year, this year's tomatoes are bigger and more beautiful, but before Tet, my family sold them for 30,000 - 35,000 VND/kg, after Tet, it dropped to 8,000 - 10,000 VND/kg and still no one bought them. Currently, I have about 200 kg that are about to ripen, I have to harvest them and sell them at the retail market to earn every penny I can.

Many families have not gone to the market because there is still a lot of food, parties and festivals have decreased sharply due to Covid-19. In addition, some supermarkets in Vinh used to go to buy but now do not due to limited demand.
