On the afternoon of September 13, Mr. Dao Anh Tuan - Chief of Minh Son Commune Police (Do Luong) said that the police agency had just completed the autopsy to clarify the cause of death of Ms. Nguyen Thi Quat.

"Ms. Quat suffered multiple injuries, especially severe brain damage. Although her family took her to Hospital 115 for emergency treatment, her injuries were so severe that she did not survive," Mr. Tuan added.

Previously, at 8:30 a.m. on September 13, Ms. Quat and her husband, Mr. Nguyen Phuc Tu (born in 1948, residing in Long Minh hamlet, Minh Son commune, Do Luong) were riding an electric bicycle home. When crossing route N5, the border between Tan Son and Minh Son communes, they were hit by a truck with license plate 37R - 01430 driven by Mr. Cao Cu Phu (born in 1986, residing in Dien Tho commune, Dien Chau).

Mr. Tu died on the spot, while Mrs. Quat was taken to the emergency room but died at the hospital. The family is currently holding a funeral for the couple.
