Former Minister Pham Vu Luan takes on new duties
Mr. Pham Vu Luan, former Minister of Education and Training, will transfer to the University of Commerce to teach.
In Decision 1963/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister decided that Mr. Pham Vu Luan, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Minister of Education and Training, would transfer to the University of Commerce to do teaching and scientific research according to the provisions of Decree 141/2013/ND-CP dated October 24, 2013 of the Government.

Mr. Pham Vu Luan was born in 1955 and holds the academic titles of professor and doctor. He is a member of the 11th Party Central Committee and a delegate to the 13th National Assembly.
Previously, he was a lecturer, then Head of the Department of Economics and Commerce, Deputy Dean, Vice Principal, then Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Principal of the University of Commerce.
From June 2004 to April 2010, he was Deputy Minister, then Permanent Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education and Training. After that, he was Permanent Deputy Minister in charge of the Ministry of Education and Training.
From June 2010 to April 2016, he held the position of Minister of Education and Training.
