Former President Truong Tan Sang visits VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park

Reporting to former President Truong Tan Sang, Mr. Teng Wei Hong - General Director of the Company said,VSIP Nghe An Industrial, Urban and Service Park projecthas a scale of 750 hectares, of which industrial park development is 367.6 hectares, urban and service area is 382.4 hectares.

The project started in September 2015. Up to now, the compensation and site clearance work has reached 80%, and the land has been allocated and leased for 462.2 hectares. The investor has basically completed the technical infrastructure of phase 1 and is implementing phase 2.

For the urban area, phase 1 infrastructure has been basically completed, and phase 2 site clearance is underway. The total investment capital for the project has reached nearly 2,000 billion VND.

Up to now, there have been 32 investors leasing land with 35 projects with a total area of ​​213.66ha/263.23ha of land, with an occupancy rate of over 80%, of which 15FDI investorsfrom Japan, Korea, Singapore, Sweden, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

In the industrial park, the industry structure includes: 42% electricity, electronics and supporting industries; 17% food; 8% garment; 4% precision engineering; 4% auto parts, 29% food, construction materials and other industries. In the first 6 months of 2022, the export value of the industrial park reached 4,603 billion VND, of which electronics accounted for 94%.

Currently, the total investment capital in the project has reached 775.2 million USD registered for investment and there is currently about 150 million USD preparing investment procedures of investor LUXSHARE ICT.

Currently, 23 projects have come into operation, employing more than 14,000 local workers out of the total expected workforce of the entire industrial park of 60,000 - 65,000 workers. 4 investors are building factories, expected to be completed and put into operation in 2022.

Based on the investment orientation and development goals of the enterprise, former President Truong Tan Sang hopes that the enterprise will continue to properly implement the planning, focus on completing infrastructure soon, increase investment attraction, and make investment activities increasingly effective, contributing to the role in striving to build Nghe An into an electronics industrial production center of the North Central region.

Former President Truong Tan Sang also said that the Government and localities are currently focusing on investing in transport infrastructure, especially in building expressways. Nghe An in particular is focusing on preparing to invest in building a deep-water port, which will help businesses optimize logistics time and costs.
