At Dai Tue Pagoda, the delegation listened to the abbot, Venerable Thich Tho Lac, introduce the history of the pagoda. This is the only pagoda in Vietnam that worships Buddha Dai Tue.

Located at an altitude of 450 meters, on the top of the sacred Dai Hue mountain range, the pagoda is said to be a place associated with the history of many kings. In the 7th century, Mai Hac De chose this place as a place for uprising and built a pagoda here. In the 15th century, the pagoda was restored and rebuilt by Ho Quy Ly to worship Buddha Dai Tue.

In 1789, on his way to the North to defeat the Qing army, King Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue also stopped here to recruit soldiers and organize training right in front of the temple yard.

According to Venerable Thich Tho Lac, King Quang Trung's son, Quang Toan, after losing power, also returned to this pagoda to practice Buddhism and died here. His tomb is believed to be buried here, about 20 meters from the old pagoda's foundation, built of stone.

In 2011, with socialized capital, Dai Tue Pagoda was rebuilt, located on an area of ​​20 hectares. With 20 items, including 4 main sanctuaries, stretching from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain, starting with Trinh Pagoda, followed by Ha Pagoda, Trung Pagoda and on top is Thuong Pagoda.

After 4 years of construction, Thuong Pagoda was completed with the nine-story Dai Tue stupa, Dai Hung Bao Dien, To Duong, Ngu De temple along with the monks' quarters, lay people's house, guest house, bell tower, gong tower...

The pagoda is also honored to be recognized by the Vietnam Record Association with four records: The pagoda on the mountain with the largest artificial lake; The pagoda with the largest system of ruby ​​statues; The pagoda with the largest system of monolithic mulberry wood statues and The pagoda with the largest system of parallel sentences in pure Vietnamese calligraphy in Vietnam.

During this visit, former National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung also planted a souvenir tree at the pagoda.
