(Baonghean.vn) - Nguyen Dinh Thuc and other extremists stood in the middle of the road and used objects such as trees, bricks, and stones to block vehicles traveling on National Highway 1A, causing serious traffic jams and obstructions.

At 10:30 a.m. on May 15, 2017, the Nghe An police investigation agency temporarily detained the reactionary Hoang Duc Binh according to Decision No. 01 dated May 11, 2017. Immediately after the authorities temporarily detained Hoang Duc Binh, priest Nguyen Dinh Thuc called to incite some extremist parishioners to obstruct traffic on National Highway 1A through Dien An commune, Dien Chau district, demanding the "release of the arrested person".

The extremists stood in the middle of the road and used objects such as trees, bricks and stones to block vehicles on National Highway 1A, causing serious traffic jams and obstructions. The actions of Nguyen Dinh Thuc and some extremists caused public disorder, obstructed traffic and violated the law.

Currently, the authorities are conducting propaganda, asking people not to listen to Nguyen Dinh Thuc's incitement and provocation, not to participate in obstructing traffic, and causing disorder in the area.

Previously, Nguyen Dinh Thuc had repeatedly incited and led extremists to disturb public order. For example, on February 14, 2017, taking advantage of the lawsuit against Formosa, Nguyen Dinh Thuc preached and incited a number of parishioners to carry banners and flags, causing traffic disorder on National Highway 1A, destroying property, and resisting law enforcement officers. On the afternoon of April 24, 2017, Nguyen Dinh Thuc incited and, along with a number of parishioners, went to the Quynh Luu District Police Headquarters to demand the return of two sacks of goods of unknown origin that the authorities were temporarily holding for investigation and handling.

Nguyen Dinh Thuc's repeated violations of the law are condemnable and must be strictly handled according to the law.
