Always follow his example

(Baonghean) -The ceremony to honor the advanced models of “Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh” was solemnly held in Vinh City during the sacred days of May leading up to the 123rd anniversary of Uncle Ho’s birthday; the collectives and individuals honored this time represent over 3 million people of Nghe An, the homeland, who gathered here with pride and the wish to do more good deeds, contributing to the development of their homeland.

Traveling hundreds of kilometers, Mr. La Van Vinh - a son of the Dan Lai ethnic group, currently an officer at the Mon Son Commune Health Station, Con Cuong District, arrived early in Vinh City to attend the conference. Working in his hometown of Mon Son, one of the first places where the provincial Party cell was established, Mr. Vinh is always aware of his responsibility to inherit and promote the revolutionary spirit of his ancestors. Despite the hardships and difficulties, he and his colleagues at the commune health station were not discouraged, uniting to take care of the health of the people. Being recognized on this occasion, he still humbly confided: "I am truly proud, but I still feel that I have a lot to learn and contribute. This achievement is not only mine but also that of my friends, colleagues, and especially the active support of the ethnic people in the region." Over the past year, Mr. La Van Vinh and the Mon Son Commune Health Station have provided medicine and medical examinations and treatment to ethnic minorities, while also raising awareness and helping them eliminate backward customs. He has visited each house to examine and treat the elderly and those in special circumstances. Now, Mr. La Van Vinh is considered by the Mon Son people to be a support when they are sick...

Among the 40 typical individuals highlighted this time, there are many veterans who once fought with guns and now returned to their homeland, holding hoes with their children and grandchildren, and working with their villages to reclaim land, develop production, raise livestock, and build a new life. Despite the many difficulties and challenges, they - Uncle Ho's soldiers - are always steadfast and shining. Attending the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Quang - a veteran of Quynh Ba commune, Quynh Luu district, emotionally confided: “When listening to the reports of cadres, party members and people at this conference, I saw many individuals and groups following Uncle Ho's moral example. The "saving rice jars", the "saving pigs" in localities or the "bowls of love porridge" in hospitals seem small but have great value. There, it is not simply about helping each other materially but more importantly, the spirit of solidarity and mutual support. Uncle Ho also fasted for several meals a week to give rice to the hungry people...".

At the ceremony, we met again the hero, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duc Cuong - Deputy Head of the Drug Crime Police Department. He is a representative of the young generation who continue the revolutionary spirit, uphold the responsibility of the police officer, imbued with Uncle Ho's teachings, "forgetting oneself for the country, serving the people". More honorably, he is the only typical advanced individual of our province to attend the Conference to honor typical advanced models of Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh held on May 17 in Hanoi. And many more typical examples of studying and following Uncle Ho came to the honoring ceremony with admirable and proud stories and achievements...

In addition to the advanced individuals, there are 27 collectives honored, which are Party cells and people of blocks and hamlets who unite to build a new life or collectives of members of the Women's Union of the commune who practice thrift together, helping members and poor people develop production and livestock farming with specific models. Representing the Party Committee and people of Tri Le commune to attend the provincial-level honoring ceremony in Vinh City, Mr. Lo Xuan Phong - Secretary of the Party Committee of the commune said: "Over the past years, the Party Committee and people of the commune have unanimously determined to eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, coordinate with functional forces to fight against crime, and firmly protect the borders of the Fatherland. We are truly proud to be recognized by the province and will strive to achieve more achievements to report to Uncle Ho every year...".

On behalf of the staff and soldiers of the Propaganda Department - Provincial Military Command, Major Nguyen Trong Loc - Head of the Department excitedly confided: "We in the Propaganda Department are very excited to be honored and recognized by the province. Over the past two years, in addition to the propaganda task within the force, we have advised the Party Committees and commanders at all levels to effectively implement ideological education work, build a strong political stance for officers and soldiers, and be ready to receive and complete any task assigned by the Party and the people. In addition, we have closely coordinated with local Party Committees and authorities to strengthen propaganda work, mobilize people to unite and build a solid national defense posture."

The 2-year assessment of the implementation of Directive 03-CT/T.Ư of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee presented by Comrade To Hong Hai at the ceremony highly appreciated the exemplary cadres and party members holding leadership and key positions in departments, branches, localities and armed forces. Among the 40 outstanding individuals, there are 20 comrades who are Party cell secretaries, secretaries and deputy secretaries of district Party committees, heads and deputy heads of provincial-level branches, 4 comrades are members of the Provincial Party Committee and Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission. This shows the spreading power of the Campaign to Study and Follow the Moral Example of Ho Chi Minh and more than anyone else, leaders and heads of all levels and branches must be pioneers in studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh to serve the people, contributing to the spread of good people and good deeds at the grassroots level.

After 2 years of implementing Directive 03 on continuing to promote studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh, the Party Committee and people of the province have achieved many diverse and rich results with profound political, economic and social significance. That is the movement of mutual love and support to help the poor and poor areas. There are 88 departments, branches, agencies and units in the whole province that have received support for 88 communes and villages in difficult mountainous areas. Some typical examples of good implementation include: Party Committee of provincial agencies, Party Committee of Military, Police, Women's Union at all levels, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Quy Hop, Anh Son, Nghia Dan, Quynh Luu districts, Vinh City... or like comrade Hoang Van Binh, Military Command of Anh Son district has received support to raise two orphaned children with 10kg of rice per month until they grow up; Comrade Vo Van Vinh - Chairman of Nghi Thai Commune People's Committee (Nghi Loc) supported the commune's "For the Poor" Fund with 100 million VND...

There are many ways of following by individuals and groups that cannot be mentioned in the scope of this article, but all of them have created a beautiful lotus flower to offer to beloved Uncle Ho on his birthday. They are united and strong groups, leaders of provincial departments and branches, leaders of local units, workers, laborers, farmers in mountainous and highland areas, plains and coastal areas. These typical examples represent the ethnic groups, religions, and armed forces of the whole province in studying and following the moral example of President Ho Chi Minh.

Understanding more about the examples and typical examples attending the honoring ceremony, when comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee spoke to acknowledge the efforts of cadres, party members and people in implementing the Campaign to Study and Follow the Moral Example of Ho Chi Minh. Over the past 2 years, the emulation movement to develop socio-economy, enrich oneself legitimately, and join hands to build new rural areas has been vibrant throughout the province. Many families in rural areas have voluntarily donated hundreds of thousands of square meters of land without compensation to open roads worth tens of billions of VND.

Studying and following Uncle Ho's moral example, cadres and civil servants of agencies, units, schools and enterprises have promoted their dedication to work, closeness to the people, strengthening solidarity and collaboration... All of these have contributed to multiplying the precious beauty of everyday life, so that together with the entire Party and people, we can build a rich and beautiful homeland as Uncle Ho always wished. The Provincial Party Secretary also requested that the typical collectives and individuals honored this time continue to promote their achievements, together with the Party Committee and the government, multiply the examples of good people and good deeds right in each residential area so that every May, we can be proud and report our achievements to our beloved Uncle Ho.
