Causes of excessive engine oil consumption in cars
(Baonghean.vn) - The main function of engine oil is to lubricate the moving parts inside the engine, minimizing friction and wear between the parts. If the vehicle operates without oil or lack of lubricating oil, it will lead to serious damage to the engine and cannot be restored.

After a period of use, you see that the amount of oil supplied to the engine is increasing, the consumption is getting bigger... Below are the reasons why the car consumes engine oil.
1. Lost oil ring
If the oil is strongly burned and the varnish is not washed away and sooner or later will not be removed from the CPG parts, the rings will be marbled (carbonized). At the same time, it does not fully perform such functions as: Compression (ie stops providing the desired charge of oxygen in the combustion chamber; Oil removal.
Both processes of increased combustion of circulating oil deteriorate the operating conditions of the engine to the worst, when the engine does not start or the valves burn out, or the cylinder parts fail.
2. Oil valve lock does not work
During operation, the valve seat (valve) is exposed to high temperatures, which leads to loss of elasticity. In addition, abrasive particles in the oil will wear out the cover faces, as well as its pipes and body. Therefore, the service life of this area depends on the mode of operation and the quality of the oil (anti-wear and anti-wear).
3. Oil leak

This is another reason for increased engine oil consumption, but it is not related to waste oil. Usually the density is not formed in the stuffing boxes due to poor quality, wear (dirty oil), improper installation and overheating.
There may also be oil leakage through the gaskets when they lose their properties and tighten incorrectly, when hitting the tank with a closed position of the sensor and other causes.
4. Oil enters the exhaust through the turbine
Oil spillage into the exhaust through the turbine will occur if the oil valves in the turbocharger fail. Then the oil passing through this turbocharger under pressure as bearing lubrication begins to flow into the exhaust. The operation of these oil rings also depends on the initial quality conditions (temperature) and the quality of the oil.
5. Oil release in the cooling system

Oil leakage into the cooling system can occur if part of the gasket breaks in the area between the working cylinder and the cooling system holes. The reason may be poor gasket quality, improper tightening.
