Former Deputy Head of Internal Affairs Department prosecuted for lack of responsibility in reviewing documents

Authorities have just prosecuted and released on bail Mr. Nguyen Cong Chinh, former Deputy Head of the Internal Affairs Department of Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai, for his irresponsible behavior in reviewing documents, causing serious consequences.

On May 25, the Department of Investigation Police on Economic Management and Position Crimes (PC46) of Dong Nai Province Police announced that the agency had issued a decision to prosecute and release on bail Mr. Nguyen Cong Chinh (former Deputy Head of the Internal Affairs Department of Bien Hoa City) for the crime of irresponsibility causing serious consequences.
Mr. Chinh is currently the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tam Hiep Ward, Bien Hoa City, so the Provincial Police Investigation Agency has also requested the City Party Committee and the People's Committee of Bien Hoa City to carry out related procedures for Mr. Chinh to serve the investigation.
Mr. Chinh was prosecuted for his lack of responsibility in the process of advising and signing documents for Mr. Vo Thanh Tung (former Head of the Department of Internal Affairs of Bien Hoa City) to approve files and documents that were not in accordance with regulations in the payment of rewards.
Previously, the authorities also decided to prosecute and temporarily detain Mr. Vo Thanh Tung to investigate the act of abusing his position and power to appropriate property.
Taking advantage of the policy of rewarding hamlets and neighborhoods that achieve cultural titles, Mr. Tung, in his position as Head of the Internal Affairs Department of Bien Hoa City, appropriated hundreds of millions of dong from this reward source.
Since then, the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee has stepped in and determined that Mr. Tung had committed wrongdoings, so it has advised the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee to discipline Mr. Tung by expelling him from the Party. The case has since been transferred to the Provincial Police Investigation Agency for handling.
After a period of expanding the investigation, the Provincial Police Investigation Agency determined that Mr. Trinh had a role related to the above violations, so they initiated a prosecution for investigation./.
