Former Deputy Head of Ha Long People's Committee arrested for fraud
Mr. Dao Ngoc Bao (47 years old) defrauded more than 900 million VND from 5 people when he introduced himself as being able to issue red books and apply for jobs at state agencies.
On August 10, Quang Ninh Provincial Police announced that they had arrested Mr. Dao Ngoc Bao, former Deputy Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee of Ha Long City Party Committee, to investigate fraud.appropriation of property.

According to the investigation agency, from October 2019 to November 2020, Mr. Bao introduced himself as having the ability to carry out land division procedures, issue land use right certificates, and apply for jobs at a number of state agencies.
Then, Mr. Bao received the documents, 909 million VND from 5 citizens and promised to help them, then appropriated the money for personal use.
