(Baonghean.vn)- Through a food safety inspection, the Interdisciplinary Inspection Team fined the unit providing meals for students of the National Defense Education Center - Vinh University nearly 9 million VND.

On the afternoon of May 5, the Nghe An Province Interdisciplinary Inspection Team inspected the compliance with regulations on ensuring food safety in the production, processing, trading of food and catering services at the National Defense and Security Education Center - Vinh University located in Nghi Phong Commune, Nghi Loc District.

The cafeteria of the National Defense and Security Education Center - Vinh University is currently contracted by Bach Hop Service Company Limited, providing meals every day for over 900 major students, students studying subjects and students at the University's second campus.

The cafeteria has been in operation for 3 years.

Through the actual inspection, the interdisciplinary inspection team discovered that the cafeteria of the National Defense and Security Education Center - Vinh University violated many regulations on ensuring food safety in the production, processing, trading of food and catering services. The team proceeded to draw up a record of 02 administrative violations related to awareness: using workers who do not wear protective clothing according to regulations and the warehouse and food storage place do not ensure food safety and hygiene.

For these two violations, based on point a, clause 2, article 12 and point d, clause 2, article 21 of Decree 178/2013/ND-CP regulating administrative violations in the field of food safety, the inspection team drew up a record of administrative sanctions against Bach Hop Service Company Limited, which is the unit providing meals for students.

The inspection team drew up a record of administrative violations of food safety at the cafeteria of the National Defense and Security Education Center - Vinh University.

Regarding some other errors, the inspection team requested Vinh University and Bach Hop Service Company Limited to immediately correct them. During the inspection, representatives of the National Defense and Security Education Center, Vinh University and Bach Hop Service Company Limited committed to change and strictly comply with food safety regulations.
