Chau Thang Hydropower Plant announces flood discharge
(Baonghean.vn) - Under the influence of the tropical depression weakening from storm No. 7, it is forecasted that from today until October 16, Nghe An will have heavy to very heavy rain. To ensure the safety of the reservoir, Chau Thang Hydropower Plant has announced flood discharge.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, due to the influence of the weakened tropical depression from storm No. 7 combined with cold air, from today until October 16, Nghe An area will have heavy to very heavy rain with common rainfall of about 150-250mm.

The plant is expected to discharge floodwater at 9:00 p.m. on October 14, 2020.Estimated discharge is about 76m3/s to 1,100m3/s (including discharge through the valves and generation flow through the generators).
