Researcher Tran Minh Sieu and valuable works about Uncle Ho
(Baonghean.vn) - Cultural researcher Tran Minh Sieu has just passed away at the age of 89, leaving behind much grief for his family and friends near and far. For most of his life, he spent time researching and writing books about President Ho Chi Minh.
Researcher Tran Minh Sieu (born in 1935) is from Bac Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district (Nghe An). Since childhood, he has been passionate about learning about the history and culture of his homeland and country, especially outstanding celebrities.
In 1957, he was sent to attend a short-term teacher training course and then taught at Son Tay Secondary School in Ha Tay Province (now Hanoi). During this time, Mr. Sieu taught, did administrative work, and spent time researching history.
In 1959, Tran Minh Sieu passed the entrance exam to the History Department of Hanoi University. After graduating in 1962, he worked at the Ministry of Culture and continued his passion for historical and cultural research.
In 1969, after President Ho Chi Minh passed away, he was transferred toKim Lien relic site(Nam Dan) with the task of managing relics, learning and researching about the life, family and hometown of Uncle Ho.

Working at Kim Lien relic site, Mr. Tran Minh Sieu spent a lot of time on restoring and upgrading valuable items and focusing on research about Uncle Ho. During his work, he advised the Department of Culture and the Provincial People's Committee to restore and restore relics related to the life and family of Uncle Ho such as: Hoang Xuan family temple, the house of Mr. Pho Bang Nguyen Sinh Sac, Coc well, Co Dien forge, the house of bachelor Vuong Thuc Quy, etc.
The tomb of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan is the place where he spent the most effort to study the terrain and feng shui to help with the restoration, embellishment and upgrading. In 1982, comrade Vu Ky - Secretary of Uncle Ho went to Nam Dan to survey and renovate the tomb of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan. Mr. Sieu and comrade Vu Ky went up to Dai Hue mountain range to study and discuss the geography and feng shui and submitted a request to the Ministry of Culture for restoration.
Mr. Tran Minh Sieu often arranges time to cycle everywhere to meet witnesses, learn and research documents about the case.President Ho Chi Minh. He carefully and meticulously recorded what he collected and gathered to make it a resource for life. With nearly 50 years of researching history and culture, most of the time was spent researching Uncle Ho, researcher Tran Minh Sieu has dozens of research works about him, becoming one of the leading people with many research works about Uncle Ho.

In his last years, despite his old age and poor health, Mr. Tran Minh Sieu still devoted much effort to continuing to research President Ho Chi Minh with the wish to contribute a small part of his efforts so that the next generation would know more about Uncle Ho - the great son of the Vietnamese people born in his homeland.Nghe Anrich in tradition
On January 30, 2023, researcher Tran Minh Sieu breathed his last due to old age and poor health. His passing left a void that is not easy to fill in the research on the life, family, and hometown of President Ho Chi Minh as well as the research on Nghe An culture.
The people of Nghe An in particular and the whole country in general are always grateful to him for his passion and research works about Uncle Ho, and for his contributions to the Kim Lien Relic Site - the place associated with his childhood and family./.
