Mendoza began working on the car six years ago. Bad weather delayed testing. “I hope people will have a positive reaction to the new vehicle,” he said.
Mendoza calls it an “ultralight aircraft” and hopes to mass produce it. He also plans to build a two-seater version. “It’s a vehicle that uses drone or multirotor technology to take off. It’s like a hybrid drone car,” he explains.
The vehicle has a metal frame and a shell made of ultra-light carbon material. The battery on the vehicle is enough for a 12-15 minute flight and takes 2.5 hours to fully charge. The cost of manufacturing this type of vehicle is about 615 USD. Mendoza hopes to find investors and buyers soon.
