The stilt house burned down because the owner fell asleep while cooking pig feed.

(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, December 5, in Luong village, Chau Phong commune (Quy Chau), a fire broke out, completely burning down the stilt house of Mr. Lu Van Hai and his wife.

According to Mr. Lu Van Hanh - a witness to the fire, at around 3 am when he woke up, he saw a fierce fire burning from the house of his neighbor, Mr. Lu Van Hai.

Mr. Hanh quickly shouted for the neighbors to break the door and rush in to pull everyone in Mr. Hai's family out.All four members of Mr. Hai's family were brought out safely by the locals. However, because the fire was so big, the house was completely burned down.

The initial cause was determined to be that Mr. Hai’s wife, Mrs. Lu Thi Huong, woke up to cook bran for the pigs, but then fell asleep, causing the fire to spread quickly. The house was made of wooden stilts, with bamboo walls and a thatched roof, so it caught fire and burned fiercely.

It is known that Mr. Lu Van Hai and his wife were preparing to build a new house, however, after the fire, all the materials prepared before were turned into ashes, with an estimated loss of over 100 million VND. The family's already difficult life became even more difficult.

After the fire broke out, local leaders visited and called on people to join hands to help Mr. Hai's family overcome the disaster.
