World's tallest church eroded by public urination
The world's tallest church, Ulm Minster, 162m in Germany, is currently suffering from erosion due to too many people urinating on its sandstone foundation, RT reported.
Increased patrols and fines have failed to deter people from using the site as a meeting place and a place to defecate. The acid and salt in urine are now contributing to the deterioration of the cathedral’s sandstone foundations.

"I've been keeping an eye on the church for half a year now, and once again it's covered in urine and vomit," said Michael Hilbert, the church's conservator. He said he didn't want to be known as the "pee police" but rather as a keeper of law and order.
The fine for urinating in public has doubled to 100 euros, but this has not stopped the bad habit.
Ulm Minster Cathedral is located in the famous Münsterplatz area, so next month, the number of people peeing here will increase sharply because of the wine festival and Christmas market taking place right in front of the door.
According to Mr Hilbert, free toilets need to be installed in the area to prevent further damage to the cathedral's sandstone foundation.
During the recent Schwörmontag holiday, the southern part of the church was closed to prevent open defecation, but to no avail, a city spokesman said.
Ulm Minster is currently the tallest church in the world and the fourth tallest building in the world built before the 20th century.
