12-generation family temple in Nghe An burned down
(Baonghean.vn) - The fire burned down the 12-generation old church of the 3rd branch of the Nguyen Huu family.
The fire broke out at around 11:10 a.m. on March 24 at the church of the 3rd branch of the Nguyen Huu family in hamlet 3, Lac Son commune, Do Luong.

When the fire was discovered, the people called for everyone to come and put it out. However, because the church was made entirely of wood, the fire spread very quickly and fiercely. The village loudspeaker broadcast and called for everyone to come to the rescue. In addition, the people also informed the Police CC & Rescue Team No. 5 to come and put out the fire.

Upon receiving the news, Fire Police and Rescue Team No. 5 dispatched two fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to spray water to extinguish the church fire.
Despite efforts to put out the fire, the wood caught fire so quickly that all the pillars, rafters, beams, and roof of the church were burned down. Water spraying only prevented the fire from spreading to the house next door.
It is known that this church has an area of about 60m2.2, located in the family compound of Mr. Nguyen Huu Vi. This is a 12-generation church, the roof of which was recently repaired 1 year ago.

The initial cause of the fire was determined to be a fire from the incense bowl, spreading to the altar, and causing an electrical short circuit.
