"The United States remains committed to working with Prime Minister al-Abadi and our partners in Iraq and the international community to end the actions of ISIS," White House National Security Council spokesman Ned Price said in a statement.
According to the latest statistics, the death toll from the bombing in Iraq on July 17 has risen to 115. In addition, approximately 170 people were injured and 23 remain missing. ISIS has claimed responsibility for the bombing in the town of Khan Bani Saad in Diyala province, stating that the attack was in revenge for the deaths of Sunni Muslims in the northern Iraqi town of Hawija.
This was one of the deadliest attacks carried out by ISIS militants since they took over large swathes of Iraq.
