White House ready to discuss with Ukraine about expanding the area of attack on Russia
The US is ready to discuss with Ukraine about expanding the attack zone into Russian territory.

According to RIA Novosti, John Kirby, coordinator of strategic communications for the White House National Security Council, said on June 3 that the US is ready to discuss with Ukraine about expanding the attack area against Russia.
“I think it should come as no surprise to anyone that President Zelensky, on the one hand, expressed gratitude, but on the other hand, continued to highlight Ukraine’s needs. So we will have a discussion with the Ukrainian side,” Kirby said at a press conference with the media.
Mr. Kirby added that he could not yet say whether these discussions would “lead to additional policy changes,” while making clear that the United States would not “turn its back on Ukraine’s needs.”
According to Mr. Kirby, the US will continue to adjust support when there are new "developments" on the battlefield.
Last week, the US administration allowed Ukraine to use weapons transferred to it against targets on Russian territory near the Kharkiv region, but still imposed a ban on cross-border strikes with ATACMS tactical missiles and other long-range firepower weapons.
Earlier, Mr. Kirby said that Washington's authorization currently has limitations and applies to targets inside Russia that, in the US's view, could pose a threat to the Kharkiv region. According to him, the locations in question are "military sites, firing positions, logistics bases."
On the Russian side, President Vladimir Putin stressed that representatives of NATO countries need to realize “what game they are playing” when talking about plans to allow Kiev to attack targets inside Russian territory.
