Writer Son Tung receives the title of Hero of Labor
(Baonghean) –Recently, at the Headquarters of the Vietnam Writers Association, No. 9 Nguyen Dinh Chieu, Hanoi, a solemn ceremony was held to receive the title of Labor Hero for writer Son Tung, a native of Nghe An (Dien Kim commune, Dien Chau), author of the famous novel "Blue Lotus" about beloved Uncle Ho.
President Nguyen Minh Triet attended and respectfully presented the Labor Hero certificate to writer Son Tung, expressing his appreciation for the great will and creative working spirit that has led to the great achievements of his comrades and fellow writers over the years. He hoped that the Vietnam Writers Association, his family and colleagues would continue to pay attention and help writer Son Tung contribute to the cause of literary and artistic creation to serve the people and the country.

Reading a speech at the ceremony, Poet Huu Thinh, President of the Vietnam Literature and Arts Association, President of the Vietnam Writers Association affirmed that this is a great source of pride for the Vietnamese literary and artistic community in general and especially for writer Son Tung, who has always overcome many difficulties and challenges to create many valuable literary works, a shining example of a writer's work.
On the happy day of receiving the title of Labor Hero, writer Son Tung was welcomed by many artists and writers, including many writers from Nghe An, with congratulatory messages and flowers from the leaders of Nghe An province, Dien Chau district and Dien Kim commune.
