Writer Son Tung receives the title of Hero of Labor.
(Baonghean) –Recently, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Writers Association, No. 9 Nguyen Dinh Chieu, Hanoi, a solemn ceremony was held to receive the title of Hero of Labor awarded to writer Son Tung, a native of Nghe An province (Dien Kim commune, Dien Chau district), author of the famous novel "Green Lotus Bud" about the beloved President Ho Chi Minh.
President Nguyen Minh Triet attended the ceremony and respectfully presented the certificate recognizing the title of Hero of Labor to writer Son Tung. He acknowledged the great will and creative spirit, and the many significant achievements of his comrade and fellow writer over the years. He expressed his hope that the Vietnam Writers Association, his family, and colleagues would continue to support and assist writer Son Tung in contributing to the cause of literary and artistic creation serving the people and the country.

Delivering a speech at the ceremony, Poet Huu Thinh, President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations and President of the Vietnam Writers Association, affirmed that this is a great source of pride for the Vietnamese literary and artistic community in general, and especially for writer Son Tung, who has always overcome many difficulties and challenges to create many valuable literary works, serving as a shining example of a dedicated writer.
On the joyous day of receiving the title of Hero of Labor, writer Son Tung was greeted by numerous fellow artists and writers who came to congratulate him, including many writers from his hometown of Nghe An, as well as congratulatory messages and flowers from leaders of Nghe An province, Dien Chau district, and Dien Kim commune.
