How much will the Champions League winner receive?
UEFA's new prize money framework will give the Champions League winners a total of nearly $60 million for results alone, not including this season's share of television rights.
UEFA has increased the prize money for clubs in all rounds this season. Each club that qualifies for the group stage will receive $13.6 million. They will also receive an additional $1.6 million for each group stage win, and $536,000 for a draw.
For the round of 16 (16 clubs), each team will receive an additional $6.4 million. A place in the quarter-finals is worth nearly $7 million. Each semi-finalist club will receive an additional $8 million. The winner of the final will receive an additional $16.6 million, and the loser will receive an additional $11.8 million.

Accordingly, the total fixed prize money for all clubs participating in the Champions League this season is 817.6 million USD. The remaining prize fund, 544 million USD, is divided according to the television revenue contribution of the clubs participating in the tournament.
Based on results alone, Real Madrid earned a total of $41.4 million in prize money this season for reaching the semi-finals (with three wins and three draws in the group stage). Meanwhile, Atletico pocketed $43 million (with five wins and one draw in the group stage).
If Real Madrid defend their title, they will earn a total of $58 million for their professional achievements alone. Meanwhile, if Atletico win the title, they will earn a total of $59.7 million, not including the TV rights fee.
Last season, Real received $57 million in performance bonuses, while runners-up Atletico pocketed nearly $51 million. Combined with income from TV revenue sharing, Real earned a total of nearly $101 million in the Champions League last season.
