SEA Games 30 champion wins 3 gold medals in national weightlifting 2019
(Baonghean.vn) - After impressing at the 30th SEA Games with a gold medal in the 64 kg weight category for the Vietnamese Sports Delegation, weightlifter Pham Thi Hong Thanh continued to maintain her impressive form at the 2019 National Weightlifting Championship.
The 2019 National Weightlifting Championship attracted more than 150 athletes from 22 units: Bac Ninh, An Giang, Kien Giang, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Thai Nguyen, Lang Son, Lao Cai, Hai Phong, People's Public Security, Hung Yen, Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Tri, Hai Duong, Ninh Binh, Khanh Hoa, Soc Trang, Nghe An, Dong Nai, Thanh Hoa, Bac Lieu and Tien Giang.
Competing from December 19 to 22, athletes competed for 20 sets of medals in the women's weight categories (45 kg, 49 kg, 55 kg, 59 kg, 64 kg, 71 kg, 76 kg, 81 kg, 87 kg and over 87 kg) and men's (55 kg, 61 kg, 67 kg, 73 kg, 81 kg, 89 kg, 96 kg, 102 kg, 109 kg and over 109 kg).

Among them, two athletes from Nghe An, Pham Thi Hong Thanh and Le Thi Tham, both achieved extremely impressive results in different weight classes.
Specifically, in the 64 kg weight class, Hong Thanh excellently won 3 Gold Medals. The remaining athlete from Nghe An, Le Thi Tham, also excellently won 2 Gold Medals and 1 Silver Medal in the 76 kg weight class.
Previously, at the 30th SEA Games that just ended in the Philippines, athlete Pham Thi Hong Thanh successfully lifted 124 kg, bringing her total achievement to 214 kg, thereby winning the gold medal in a very impressive way.
