In the ongoing winter transfer window, major European teams have yet to make any blockbuster signings. Meanwhile, the surprise comes from China as many clubs competing in the Chinese National Championship have continuously brought in quality new players for large sums of money.

Some typical names include: Alex Teixeira (from Shakhtar to Jiangsu Suning, price 56 million pounds); Jackson Martinez (From Atletico to Guanghzou Evergrande, price: 42 million pounds); Ramires (from Chelsea to Jiangsu Suning, price: 25 million pounds); Gervinho (Roma - Hebei China Fortune FC: 13.7), Fredy Guarin (Inter - Shanghai Shenhua: 12)...

However, the giants in the world's most populous country are not ready to stop. Most recently, the Haberturk newspaper (Türkiye) reported that an unnamed Chinese team had offered 78 million pounds (100 million euros) for Arda Turan - the player currently playing for Barca.

The source also said that the Chinese team is willing to turn Turan into a player with a salary equal to Messi and Ronaldo in a contract lasting up to 5 years. However, the possibility of Barca releasing him is very low because Turan plays an important role at the Nou Camp.
