Replicating the model of supporting women in economic development

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 29, in Ky Son district, the Provincial Women's Union held a meeting of Emulation Cluster No. 3 including the Women's Unions of Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Con Cuong, Anh Son and Thanh Chuong districts.

Attending and chairing the Conference were comrade Nguyen Thi Quynh Hoa - Vice President of Nghe An Provincial Women's Union, leaders of Ky Son district, and representatives of leaders of Women's Unions of districts in the cluster.

Since the beginning of the year, the Women's Unions of districts have had many creative ways to promote activities to support women in economic development and sustainable poverty reduction with specific activities such as: Building a model of women helping each other in economic development; supporting poor households headed by women; mobilizing resources to support women in economic development; strengthening propaganda and mobilizing members and women to implement the policies of the Party, the State, and the Resolutions of the Union; effectively advising on female personnel work in preparation for Party Congresses at all levels; actively innovating the content and methods of operation to improve the capacity of grassroots Union organizations to carry out their tasks.

Overview of cluster 3 meeting.

The Women's Unions of districts in the emulation cluster have organized an evaluation of the 5-year patriotic emulation movement (2010-2015 period). Through the patriotic emulation movements, thousands of typical women's collectives and individuals in various fields have been recognized and rewarded. The Women's Unions of districts have actively mobilized cadres and members to participate in building new rural areas by implementing the campaign to build "5 no, 3 clean" families, focusing on implementing the criteria of reducing poverty and participating in environmental protection.

At the conference, representatives of the Women's Unions of the districts in the emulation cluster discussed and shared experiences in implementing the tasks of the union and emulation movements, and agreed on the activities of the emulation cluster in the coming time, focusing on propaganda work, raising awareness for members and women; supporting women's economic development activities; caring for and helping poor members and members in especially difficult circumstances; propagating and mobilizing members to participate in the emulation movement to build new rural areas...
