The teenage beauty was choked with joy when she became Miss Teen USA 2017 - a contest organized by Miss Universe of the US.

The new beauty queen will receive a $10,000 scholarship and a $5,000 cash prize. She will be given a luxury apartment in New York to live and work in during her one-year reign.

Sophia is considered a beautiful, dynamic and intelligent girl. She just graduated from high school and has enrolled in law school at the University of Kansas. Coming from a military family (both parents are in the military), Sophia has a special passion for political science.
