“Since I was a child, I always wanted to become a pilot, although I was not given any guidance or advice on how to achieve my dream. My parents always encouraged me, even though everyone around me told me not to send me to flying school. My parents could not even afford the tuition fees, but they always tried,” Divya said, according to Indian News.

Anny completed her pilot training at the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi when she was just 19. She was recruited by Air India in 2016, flying to the US states. She also revealed that before becoming a Boeing 777 captain, she was offered a similar position on a Boeing 737, but she wanted to wait to fulfill her dream of flying a larger aircraft.
While working at Air India, Anny completed her studies and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautics. She also completed a music course and most importantly changed her family’s fortune. With the money she earned, she sent her two younger siblings to study abroad and also bought a house for her parents.
