At the investigation agency, Tu confessed that on March 10, Tu hacked two Facebook accounts named “Tam Nguyen” and “Nguyen Thi Hoan Hoan”. Then, Tu impersonated the two accounts to chat with friends of these two accounts, in order to trick them into transferring and borrowing money.

Accordingly, 2 other accounts trusted and transferred 3 million VND to the bank account that Tu provided (the account of an acquaintance of Tu). After that, Tu asked the account owner to transfer the 3 million VND back to Tu.

It is known that Tu is a salesman at a mobile phone store in Do Luong district. While the store was temporarily closed due to the Covid-19 epidemic, due to his knowledge of information technology, Tu thought of a way to defraud and appropriate property.
