Russian embassy staff expelled from Germany, Poland, Sweden
The decisions were made in response to Russia's actions after it expelled a number of diplomats who attended a rally in support of opposition leader Navalny.
Poland, Sweden and Germany on February 8 decided to expel three Russian diplomats in response to Moscow's actions last week when it expelled several diplomats from these countries who attended a rally in support of opposition leader Alexei Navalny.

Meanwhile, Sweden's foreign minister said she had informed the Russian ambassador that a Russian embassy employee would have to leave Sweden. However, she stressed that this was in response to Moscow's decision to expel its diplomat while on duty.
Germany has also taken similar action after reports that an employee of the Russian Embassy in Berlin will have to leave the country. The tit-for-tat expulsions in recent days are showing theinstability in East-West relations.
For his part, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on February 8 that the recent expulsion of diplomats from Germany, Poland and Sweden was due to allegations related to participating in illegal protests in support of opposition politician Alexei Navalny.
