Faced with a critical situation that threatened the lives of both mother and child because the mother was in a state of continuous vaginal bleeding, the medical team quickly performed resuscitation to stop the bleeding, reduce contractions, and clearly explained the patient's critical condition to the family. The board of directors directly consulted and decided to perform an emergency cesarean section.
The surgery was successful, delivering a baby boy (1.6 kg) and a baby girl (1.4 kg). The babies were then quickly transferred to Nghe An Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital for continued treatment, care and monitoring. After surgery, the mother was conscious, had pale skin, pale mucous membranes, only 2.7 million red blood cells, and had symptoms.severe anemia
However, the pregnant woman had blood type O - a blood type that Tan Ky Medical Center currently does not have in stock and the patient's family has no one with this blood type. Therefore, the unit mobilized staff with the same blood type O to come to the hospital and donate blood to promptly rescue the patient.
