Hospitalized after drinking alcohol to detoxify bee venom

(Baonghẹan.vn)- Stung by a wild bee, Mr. Luong Van Dai, in Na Phay village, Muong Noc commune (Que Phong, Nghe An) returned home to drink alcohol to 'detoxify' but had to be taken to the emergency room.

The incident happened on the morning of August 2. At that time, while busy weeding sugarcane, Mr. Dai was suddenly stung by a swarm of bees. Too frightened, he threw down his tools and ran away.

After being stung by a bee, Mr. Dai's body became swollen and his head felt dizzy. Following the advice of some locals, he drank alcohol to "antidote" the bee sting. However, in the afternoon, he felt even more dizzy, accompanied by chest tightness and difficulty breathing, forcing his family to take him to the emergency room of Que Phong District Medical Center.

Currently, Mr. Luong Van Dai is being treated and detoxified by doctors.

Previously, on the evening of August 1, Que Phong District Medical Center also received a female patient in emergency care due to a bee sting. That was the case of Ms. Ha Thi Tuyet who was stung by a wild bee while going into the forest to collect firewood.
