On the afternoon of September 14, the election to choose the President of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), which means he will be the Prime Minister of Japan to replace Mr. Abe who resigned due to health reasons, took place. Candidate Suga Yoshihide - Chief Cabinet Secretary was elected as the Party President with a high number of votes.
Thus, Mr. Suga has become the Chairman of the ruling party of Japan, and on September 16 will approve at an extraordinary meeting of the National Assembly, officially becoming the Prime Minister of Japan.
