Eka Dwi Susanto then recruited Fandy Edy, Ivan Julyandhy, Aray Suhendri and Ade Ivan Hafilah to participate in fixing the match results. However, this group of players could not completely manipulate the score as Perserang drew 0-0 and lost 1-3 in the two matches mentioned above. The incident was exposed, and the five players involved in match-fixing were immediately fired. PSSI also soon announced the penalties for these five names. Eka Dwi Susanto received the heaviest sentence, suspended and banned from the stadium for 5 years, and fined Rp 30 million (about VND 47 million). The remaining players were banned from 24-48 months and fined Rp 10-20 million.

Indonesian media fear that this incident is just the tip of the iceberg. There is always the risk of match-fixing occurring in domestic tournaments, with increasingly sophisticated methods.

Hanoi FC recruits new player to replace Van Hau

Hanoi FC announced that they have signed defender Nguyen Van Vi. Van Vi's contract withHanoi FCfor a period of 2 years. The defender born in 1998 is considered a fire-fighting solution for Van Hau and Van Dung, players who are suffering from long-term injuries on the left wing of Hanoi FC in the 2022 season.

Nguyen Van Vi, born in 1998, is a player who grew up from the training center of Hanoi FC before being transferred to HL Ha Tinh in the 2019 season. Van Vi has been an important pillar of the Hong mountain team over the years. The player born in 1998 played a total of 26 matches for HL Ha Tinh in the V.League after the first 2 seasons representing the Central region to play at the highest level of Vietnamese football.
