Japan supports Nghe An farmers to learn tourism model in Hue

(Baonghean.vn) -Japanese experts coordinated with the Project Management Board and the People's Committee of Nam Dan district to organize a study tour of the community tourism model in Phuoc Tich ancient village - Thua Thien Hue.

Within the framework of the project to diversify livelihoods based on heritage tourism in agricultural and fishing villages in Nghe An, from August 4 to August 6, 2017, project coordinator Dr. Tomoda Yoshinori, a Japanese expert, coordinated with the Project Management Board and the People's Committee of Nam Dan district to organize for 40 people and cultural officers of communes with ancient houses in Nam Trung and Khanh Son communes to participate in learning and experiencing the community tourism model in the ancient village of Phuoc Tich - Thua Thien Hue.

The purpose of the study trip is to raise awareness and consciousness of Khanh Son commune people about the work of preserving traditional ancient agricultural villages; learn about how to do tourism as a tourist being served in a traditional ancient village; raise awareness of conservation, maintain existing values, avoid concretization and gradually perfect the conservation regulations of Khanh Son village because it has many similarities with Phuoc Tich ancient village in Hue.

On this occasion, the delegation visited and learned about the conservation regulations, tourism methods, and participated in experiencing the services of Phuoc Tich people serving guests such as: culinary preparation, performing arts, accommodation services in the ancient village (homestay); experiencing the ancient village tour by bicycle, how to preserve the landscape, boating on the O Lau River, visiting the heritage Thi tree; experiencing the traditional pottery craft. Exchange and learn experiences with the Management Board of Phuoc Tich ancient village architectural and artistic relics and the people, local leaders of Phong Hoa commune - Phong Dien district, to create a basis for the premise of preserving and developing tourism in the future in Khanh Son, Nam Trung.

In addition, the delegation had a working session and shared experiences with departments under the Department of Tourism, Department of Culture and Sports of Thua Thien Hue, Hue Ancient Capital Museum, Phuoc Tich Ancient Village Architectural and Artistic Relics Management Board on how to collect documents, organize workshops to collect opinions on the preservation of ancient houses to gradually research for the collection, organize workshops to collect opinions, and ways to preserve some ancient houses in Khanh Son commune - Nam Dan district, which is being implemented by the JICA Project to support Nghe An.
