On the surface, the Ronin helmet looks like a mask, but it is an actual ballistic helmet that provides Level 3A protection to the wearer. The total weight of the helmet is about 2 kg. To be able to withstand bullets at close range, the Ronin helmet is made of kevlar, along with a number of other special materials, all held in place by neodymium magnets.
The use of magnets allows for quick detachment of one of the accessories depending on the user's protection requirements or different specific tasks. In addition, the Ronin helmet can also easily attach accessories such as flashlights, night vision devices...
Each complete helmet is equipped with an additional replacement lens. As standard equipment, the helmet also has the ability to see through fog thanks to a special system. In addition, the helmet is designed with an optional ventilation system for the user's head.
In an interview with international media at the Exhibition in Thailand, a representative of the manufacturer Devtac said: "For many years, the defense industry has been trying to find ways to protect the heads of soldiers and this is the next step in development.
These helmets are more versatile than just bulletproof. They are equipped with communication technology and help soldiers distinguish enemies in any situation. Therefore, once testing is completed and put into service, this will be a breakthrough not only for Japan but also for the whole world," the manufacturer proudly said.
