Japan will support Nghe An to build an export tea brand.
(Baonghean.vn) - Training in production techniques and building brands for exported tea products is one of the contents that Nghe An proposed to cooperate with Gifu province (Japan) and received high agreement from the partner.
On the morning of August 2, a delegation from Gifu province (Japan) led by Mr. Kazuhiro Tamada - Member of the Gifu Provincial Council paid a courtesy visit to provincial leaders within the framework of a visit and work in Nghe An.

Close bilateral relations in many fields
Speaking to welcome the delegation, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh introduced to the delegation some general information about natural conditions, socio-economic situation and cooperation with Gifu of Nghe An province in recent times.
Nghe An is a province located in the center of the North Central region, with 21 administrative units and an area of 16,500 km2.2, population of over 3.3 million people. Nghe An has abundant resources, large reserves, a fully converged transport infrastructure system including roads, aviation, sea, inland waterways, railways and border gates. In the first 6 months of 2019, the province's GRDP growth rate reached 7.09% over the same period last year, with average income per capita reaching 2,000 USD/year.

Particularly with Gifu - the locality that established friendly relations with Nghe An in November 2015, the province has had cooperation and exchange activities in the fields of agriculture, tourism, education - training, investment and cultural and sports exchanges.
From Gifu's introduction, a number of Japanese enterprises visited and explored investment opportunities in Nghe An, in which Nagoya Giken Kogyo decided to invest in an auto parts factory in the Southeast Economic Zone. In April 2019, Nghe An province coordinated with the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Japanese Embassy to organize conferences to meet with Japan, and Gifu province also sent representatives to attend.

Discussing recommendations and proposals, comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh said that in the field of agriculture, Nghe An proposed that Gifu province support training of cadres, organization of high-tech agricultural production, and technology transfer.
The Provincial Party Secretary added: "Among Nghe An's agricultural products, we have the highest expectations for tea. We hope Gifu will support the province in the export process and build a brand for this product."
In addition, the Provincial Party Secretary hopes that Gifu will facilitate the organization of delegation exchange activities between schools of the two provinces, and that Gifu universities will help Vinh University in scientific research and education and training.
Regarding labor export, it is affirmed that Nghe An province has an abundant labor source, and Gifu province is requested to support Japanese enterprises in the area to prioritize receiving highly skilled Nghe An workers, workers who return home after their term expires; or send Nghe An workers to Gifu to work.

Committed to accompanying Nghe An province
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Kazuhiro Tamada affirmed that this visit is an important milestone in the process of promoting bilateral cooperation between Gifu and Nghe An. Regarding the areas in which the province wants to attract investment, Mr. Tamada will actively support the promotion. For example, in the field of agriculture, experts will be sent to Nghe An to provide technical support for agriculture.
For agricultural products such as tea, the head of the Gifu province delegation pledged to send technical experts to support Nghe An to improve output quality and build good brands.
In the field of education and training, Gifu will maintain and promote visits and exchanges with high schools and universities in Nghe An, thereby improving the quality of cooperation.

Mr. Tamada also added that, in addition to his role as a member of the Gifu Provincial Council, he is also the owner of businesses specializing in agriculture, architecture, and construction, so he will utilize his existing relationships and capabilities to try to bring Japanese businesses to invest in Nghe An.
