Found 50 million VND and returned it to the owner.
(Baonghean.vn) - At 10:00 AM on June 8th, Fire Prevention and Control Police Station No. 5, located in Do Luong district, returned 50 million VND to Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa (born in 1965), residing in Minh Son commune, Do Luong district.
Earlier, on the morning of June 7th, Corporal Ho Van Anh of Fire and Rescue Police Station No. 5, while traveling from the intersection near the Do Luong Education Department to the Post Office intersection, discovered a black wallet. Upon picking it up, Corporal Ho Van Anh was quite surprised to find 50 million VND inside, consisting of 100 banknotes of 500,000 VND each. Along with the money, the wallet also contained an identity card and a driver's license.

After finding the money, Corporal Ho Van Anh returned to the station to report to the duty officer and the leadership of Fire Prevention and Control Police Station No. 5. Immediately afterwards, representatives from the station's leadership, along with Corporal Ho Van Anh, went to Minh Son commune, Do Luong district, to verify the identity of the person named Nguyen Van Hoa in the citizen's identification card. After confirming that the person who lost the money matched the name on the identity card, the leadership of Fire Prevention and Control Police Station No. 5 organized the return of the 50 million VND.
Upon receiving his lost money back, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa was deeply moved and expressed his gratitude to the leaders of Fire Prevention and Control Police Station No. 5, especially Sergeant Ho Van Anh. Before going to collect the money, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa had written a rather long thank-you letter at home.
It is known that Corporal Ho Van Anh, born in 1995, is from Quynh Minh commune, Quynh Luu district, and has worked for two years at Fire Prevention and Control Police Station No. 5. Corporal Ho Van Anh's act of returning 50 million VND he found to its owner has been widely praised.
Corporal Ho Van Anh said: “It’s like someone accidentally losing money; putting yourself in their shoes makes you feel sorry for the person who lost it. If I kept that money to spend, my conscience would always be bothering me. That’s why I immediately went back to the office to report to my superiors and return the money to Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa.”
