Youth enthusiasm contributes to building Quy Hop cultural district

(Baonghean) - Over the years, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Quy Hop district has continuously grown in both organization and movement. The entire district currently has 45 affiliated bases, 391 branches with over 5,535 members. With the spirit of dynamism, solidarity, dynamism and creativity, the Youth Union has contributed significantly to the overall development of the district.

Promoting youth

During the past term, the Youth Union and youth movement of Quy Hop district have made new and very positive developments, achieving many outstanding results in all fields, completing and exceeding the targets set out in the Resolution of the 19th District Youth Union Congress. Many exciting and practical movements were organized, attracting a large number of young union members to participate; the content and form had many innovations and creativity.

The activities of the Youth Union are increasingly suitable to the requirements of practical tasks; the quality of grassroots organizations is improved, the youth solidarity front is increasingly expanded. The district Youth Union participates more actively and effectively in Party and government building and in socio-economic development, national defense and security; the role, position and prestige of the Youth Union in the political system are increasingly affirmed. The Youth Union work and youth movement of Quy Hop district for many years have been rated as excellent by the Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee.

A typical example is the youth movement to develop the economy associated with the campaign "Youth join hands to build new rural areas". The Standing Committee of the District Youth Union has propagated and mobilized young people to actively work, produce, strive to establish themselves and start a business associated with building new economic models... Currently, the whole district has more than 150 models of young people doing good economic work.

Among them, there are models with income of over 200 million VND/year, typically: Comrade Quan Vi Ba's fine art stone sculpture model in Chau Quang commune creates jobs for 7 workers, income of 250 million VND/year; Comrade Nguyen Cong Minh's orange growing model in Minh Hop commune, income of 450 million VND/year; Comrade Tran Thi Thuy Hong's farm model in Quy Hop town, income of 120 million VND/year.

The District Youth Union has also focused on guiding the establishment of cooperatives and youth clubs for economic development, thereby contributing to increasing income, creating jobs and changing the awareness of young union members. For example, the cattle breeding club in Chau Cuong, Chau Thai and Ha Son communes. The stone carving cooperative in Chau Quang commune, the orange growing cooperative in Minh Hop commune...

The Youth Union movement to join hands in building new rural areas and urban civilization has been widely deployed, focusing on activities to participate in building rural traffic, irrigation works, and building cultural life and social order and security in rural areas. Thereby contributing to bringing 5 communes to meet new rural standards in 2015, building Quy Hop town to meet urban civilization standards...

At the same time, the volunteer movement for community life is deployed with many rich contents and forms, with many new ways of doing things focusing on "Youth Month", Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, Warm Winter and Spring Volunteer Campaign every year.

Youth projects focus on participating in solving practical problems in localities. Over the past 5 years, 12 district-level youth projects, 105 commune-level projects, and 1,348 branch-level projects with a total value of over 3 billion VND have been implemented, attracting more than 19,000 youth union members.

In coordination with SVTN teams, they organized 58 legal communication sessions, opened 42 summer cultural classes, repaired and reinstalled the electrical system, gave 300 gifts to poor households... Youth Union members across the district donated more than 1,000 units of blood; distributed more than 500 free meals and porridge. Examined and provided free medicine to 3,578 people with a value of more than 300 million VND.

Innovation, improving operational efficiency

Entering the new term, with a large force of more than 22,000 young people, Quy Hop youth are facing new opportunities with the goal of: Building a strong Youth Union; strengthening the training of revolutionary ethics for young people, building a generation of young people in Quy Hop who love their homeland and country, have socialist ideals, political courage, awareness of law observance, discipline, knowledge, health, social skills, professional capacity, live a cultured and affectionate life; improving the quality of movements, expanding the solidarity front to gather young people; actively caring for and protecting the legitimate interests of young people; promoting potential and creating an environment for young people to innovate economic thinking, be proactive and volunteer, contributing to building Quy Hop homeland to be increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized, becoming one of the most prosperous mountainous districts of Nghe An province.

The focus of activities is to strongly innovate the content and methods and improve the effectiveness of the Youth Union's educational work. Continue to strongly promote the intelligence, youth, vanguard spirit and volunteerism of young union members in economic development, hunger eradication, poverty reduction, and new rural construction; maintain political security and social order and safety. Actively care for and protect the legitimate rights and interests of young people. Support young union members in establishing themselves and their careers.

Focus on building and consolidating the Youth Union organization to be increasingly strong in politics, ideology, and action organization. Diversify forms of attracting and gathering young people. Promote the development of Youth Union and Association organizations in enterprises. Effectively participate in Party and government building and consolidate the grassroots political system. The Youth Union identifies solutions that will be implemented synchronously in the coming time, which are to improve the effectiveness of propaganda and education on political ideology and revolutionary ideals for union members. Promote youth in building and defending the Fatherland.

Organize programs to accompany young people in studying, scientific research, mastering technology; starting a business; developing social skills, improving physical fitness, cultural and spiritual life. At the same time, focus on the work of leading the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team and caring for and educating teenagers and children.

With the spirit of Pioneering - Solidarity - Dynamism - Creativity, the Congress of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Quy Hop district, term XX, 2017 - 2022, calls on the youth union members, teenagers and children in the whole district to strive to compete in training, studying, working creatively, contributing with the Party Committee and people of the district to successfully implement the resolution of the District Party Congress, term XX, striving to build Quy Hop into one of the most prosperous mountainous districts of the province.
